По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Speaking at the 3rd International Conference of German Business "Eurasian Economic Union: importance, achievements and development prospects" in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan), Veronika Nikishina, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), highlighted the significant role of the German business in implementing practical investment projects in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) States.

"Major efforts should be made in the sphere of technical regulation within the framework of implementing the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the People's Republic of China, first of all on simplifying access of the sides’ products to the market", - stated Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), during a working meeting with Tian Shihong, Vice Minister of State Administration for Market Regulation, held on October 21 in Shanghai (China) as part of the session of the International Electrotechnical Commission’s General Assembly.

On October 21, the third meeting of the Joint Working Group on interaction between the Commission and the Government of Mongolia was held at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) headquarters. EEC prepared review of the EAEU States’ tax systems

The Financial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has presented a report "Review of tax systems of the EAEU Member States". The review examines changes in the national legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) States: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. Besides, the report analyzes the state of their tax systems, and provides basic tax rates as well as other information and reference materials.

Transition period under EAEU Technical Regulation "On safety of attractions" has come to an end.

The possibility of releasing attractions with documents on conformity assessment with national legal requirements established prior to the date of entry into force of the technical regulations, i.e. until April 18, 2018, has ceased to apply with the completion of the transition period on October 18 this year.

EEC and EUTFLO specified directions of bilateral cooperation

The Eurasian Union of Transport, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Organizations (EUTFLO) will remain a key partner of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Transport Unit in identifying problematic issues and obstacles in the sphere of transport, having regard to interests of business and transportation organizations. This agreement was reached at a meeting of the EUTFLO Council in Novorossiysk (Russian Federation), which was attended by the EEC representatives.

The results of statistical activities in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) were discussed as well as the plan of statistical work for 2020 and the period until 2025 agreed with the Member States was approved at the fifteenth meeting of the Advisory Committee on Statistics chaired by Sergey Glazyev, Member of the Board – EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, held at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Headquarters. Besides, a proposal was supported to establish a working group on measuring the digital economy under the Advisory Committee.

"A properly elaborated effective system of interaction between supervisory authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union countries will ensure identification of dangerous products in the market and their withdrawal from circulation," Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board - Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), stated during a high-level meeting on October 17, held under his chairmanship in the EEC.

EEC and Government of Indonesia signed Memorandum of Cooperation

The solemn ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Republic of Indonesia was held on October 17 in Tangerang (Indonesia) within the trade exhibition Trade Expo Indonesia. The document was signed by Sergey Glazyev, Member of the Board – EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics, and Enggartiasto Lukita, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
