По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Some important decisions were made in the spheres of trade cooperation, implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) digital agenda, interaction between the Union countries on cooperation in the jewelry and agricultural industry and a number of others during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) held on October 25 in Moscow (Russian Federation).

The International Electrotechnical Commission is one of the priority organizations for the Eurasian Economic Commission in the sphere of standardization and conformity assessment", – Viktor Nazarenko, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), stated during a meeting with Frans Vreeswijk, Secretary General of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

On the eve of the working visit of Sergei Glazyev, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), to Cuba scheduled for the first decade of November, he visited the Republic's diplomatic mission in Moscow. During the visit, the EEC Minister and Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, who is on an official visit to the Russian capital, "compared notes" in the full range of cooperation issues.

EAEU and Serbia signed Free Trade Agreement

A Free Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Republic of Serbia was signed at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) on October 25. The document was signed by Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Prime Ministers of the Union as well as Ana Brnabic, Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between EAEU and China came into force

The Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its Member States, on the one part, and the People's Republic of China (PRC), on the other part, came into force on October 25. All parties to the Agreement have completed all ratification procedures required. The document was signed at the Astana Economic Forum held on May 17, 2018.

On October 24, the Working Group of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) chaired by Timur Zhaksylykov, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, summed up the business impact analysis of the EEC Council’s draft decision, which provided amendments to the Regulation on common procedure for joint inspections of sites and sampling of goods (products) subject to veterinary control (supervision).
