По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

EAEU imposes anti-dumping duty on welded pipes and sections from PRC

On February 9, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board decided to impose an anti-dumping duty on a number of types of welded pipes and stainless steel sections from the People's Republic of China. The duty will remain in force for five years and its rate will be from 14.62 to 17.28%, depending on the manufacturer.

The meeting touched upon relevant matters of multilateral interaction and the trade and economic agenda. In particular, implementing the Interim Agreement leading to the formation of a free trade area between the Eurasian Economic Union and its Member States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the start of negotiations on a free trade agreement as well as ways to intensify cooperation in general were discussed.​

Union countries to jointly manufacture coronavirus vaccine

It bears reminding that some issues of the Union’s medicine safety amid the coronavirus pandemic were addressed at the meeting of the Heads of the EAEU States held in April last year, when discussing the current situation in the manufacturing industry. The meeting attendees then noted the importance and timeliness of this plan development. The Commission was given a corresponding instruction.

The Department for Internal Market Defense of the Eurasian Economic Commission has decided to initiate a repeated anti-dumping investigation due to the expiration of the measure for certain types of steel pipes from Ukraine.

At a meeting held on February 5, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council addressed the issue of whether the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus fulfill their obligations within functioning of the Eurasian Economic Union internal market – eliminating restrictions on the export of scrap and waste of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Eurasian Intergovernmental Council instructed to start addressing issues of applying response measures in Union’s territory

Following a meeting held on February 5 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council instructed the Eurasian Economic Commission, jointly with the Governments of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States, to start addressing the mechanism for applying measures in accordance with Paragraph 1 of Article 40 of the Treaty on the EAEU dated May 29, 2014.

EEC and CIS Executive Committee signed cooperation plan for 2021-2022
