По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.
EAEU introduces anti-dumping duty on leaf springs from PRC

On February 16, the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Board decided to
impose an anti-dumping duty on leaf springs originating from the People's
Republic of China. The measure is imposed for five years; the duty amount will
be 14.11% of the customs value.
EEC zeroed import duties on precious stones for jewelry industry

On February 16, the Eurasian
Economic Commission’s Board decided to zero out import customs duty rates for
certain types of precious and semiprecious stones for a term of two years. In
particular, this refers to natural or artificial emeralds, sapphires, rubies,
jades, alexandrites, etc. used in the jewelry industry.
EEC creates conditions for developing aquaculture fish production

On February 16, the Eurasian
Economic Commission’s Board reduced the rates of import customs duties on
salmon breeding cages from 15% to 0% for one year. Currently, the Eurasian
Economic Union does not manufacture equipment of technological level required
for fish farming in northern conditions.
EEC discussed crash implementation of EAEU development priorities

Artak Kamalyan, Member of the
Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic
Commission, held a meeting with Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Trade and Integration
of Kazakhstan.
The dialogue participants have
stressed the importance of crash implementation of activities on the five
principal directions of the Eurasian Economic Union development outlined by
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his address
to the Heads of the EAEU States on January 15 this year. The parties have noted
that all participants in the integration process should focus on such long-term
priorities as maintaining the stability of economic and social systems,
improving social welfare, ensuring the progress of each Member State and the
EAEU as a whole.
