По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

The Council of Heads of authorized bodies in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population of the EAEU Member States, jointly with the Eurasian Economic Commission has prepared a draft Comprehensive plan of short-term and long-term activities in the sphere of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and health aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus and other infectious diseases, capacity building of public health services, sanitary and epidemiological supervision, coordinated development of effective diagnostic tools and COVID-19 vaccinal prevention.

EEC Board approved Methodology for forecasting agricultural development in Eurasian Economic Union countries

Approaches enshrined in the document will enable to generate an economic forecast for the EAEU agricultural production and the market for using key agri-food products for the medium-term (5 years) and long-term (10 years) period with the adjustment of indicators on a twice a year basis.

Despite the decline in international trade, slumping demand, increased risks as well as rising protectionism, new opportunities are opening up for the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States. This was reported by Andrey Slepnev, Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, speaking on June 5 at the International Forum "Russia's Export Strategy amid Global Uncertainty: role of business associations, development institutions and authorities". The forum was held via videoconferencing within the Russian Business Weeks – 2020. The event was organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) under the auspices of the Coordination Council for Export Promotion.

EDB ready to consider participation in financing EAEU common import substitution projects

EEC Council supplemented list of goods imported into the EAEU free of duty to tackle coronavirus infection and approved lifting ban on exporting a number of products and materials

During the meeting held on June 3, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to temporarily zero import duties on expendable personal protective equipment and certain types of goods used for manufacturing medicinal products, disinfectants and medical devices. The list of these products includes, in particular, orthophosphoric acid, hydrogen peroxide, polymer film, disposable caps and so on. The Decision shall come into effect after 10 calendar days have elapsed from the date of its official publication.
