По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

EEC and Cuba, as Observer State at EAEU, form cooperation plans for next three years

Practical aspects of cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission and Cuba, with due regard for granting Havana the Observer State status at the Eurasian Economic Union, were discussed by Goar Barsegyan, Director of the EEC Integration Development Department, and Julio Antonio Garmendia Pena, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Russian Federation, during a working meeting held on December 22. The meeting took place at the EEC's headquarters.

A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council has been held today via videoconferencing involving Heads of State of the Eurasian Economic Union, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Honorary Chairman of the SEEC and First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Republic of Cuba, and Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The Eurasian Economic Union States have not yet been able to achieve growth rates higher than the global ones. This is largely due to the macroeconomic policies being implemented in the countries. The economic growth can be promoted by developing industries being drivers of the new technological paradigm. This was stated by Sergei Glazyev, Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, on November 26 at the international seminar "COVID-19 Pandemic: Symptoms and Treatment of the World Economy”.
