The joint EAEU – Mongolia Business Forum will give a new boost to the strengthening and expansion of cooperation between the EAEU Member States and Mongolia

The Business Forum that addresses development of cooperation between the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Mongolia will be held in early October this year in Ulan Bator.

Holding of a joint Business Forum was agreed during the meeting of the Chairman of the EEC Board,Tigran Sargsyan, with the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat, in June, 2017 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Practical issues regarding preparation for the Forum, as well as possible format for the participation of the delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in it were discussed by the Director of the EEC Integration Development Department, Sergey Shukhno, with the delegation of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by the Director of the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department, V. Enkhbold.

During the meeting, the Mongolian partners informed that the Forum will be held with the support and direct participation of the State Great Khural and the Government of Mongolia, as well as confirmed their interest in the broad participation of the EEC representatives and the business community of the EAEU countries in it.

"We note the intensification of EAEU – Mongolia contacts. The joint Working Group of the EEC and the Government of Mongolia is created and operating efficiently. The upcoming Forum will be another step towards deepening cooperation and a good platform for the dialogue between government officials and business circles of our countries," Sergey Shukhno said.
