5/26/2020

The eleventh meeting of the Council of Heads of Authorized Bodies in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of the Population of the EAEU States held on May 25 informed the Council Members that the draft Comprehensive Action Plan to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection and other infectious diseases in the territories of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States would be discussed at the meeting of the Commission’s Board on June 2 this year, followed by its consideration by the Commission’s Council and approval by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

The issue of Member States' interaction on preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the Union’s common epidemiological space has been discussed.

It was noted that the Russian Federation would proceed with assisting the Union countries as well as the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in tackling COVID-19 coronavirus infection. In the next two months, it is planned to deliver more than a million test systems manufactured by "Vector" State Scientific Center of Rospotrebnadzor to diagnose COVID-19.

Rospotrebnadzor has developed a schedule according to which webinars and video consultations on tackling COVID-19 coronavirus infection will be systematically held in June this year involving representatives of scientific organizations of the Russian Federation.

In view of the measures being taken in the countries to gradually withdraw from the restrictions regime and intensifying economic activities, the Commission has invited the Union States’ authorized authorities to submit proposals on the conditions and criteria for restoring air, rail and other types of international traffic.
