Ruslan Beketaev, Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), exchanged their views on involving the business community in the integration processes on March 24 in Moscow.

"The Commission’s Financial Policy Unit considers it important to address specific challenges facing entrepreneurs of the Eurasian "five" countries and that's exactly why close cooperation between the Commission and business associations is required," the EEC Minister noted. "It is crucial to use the integration potential for the sake of business, which, in fact, is the driving force of economy."

Ruslan Beketaev invited the RUIE to continue participating in the regulatory impact assessment organized by the Commission, which includes public discussion of the EEC draft acts with business entities as well as preparing proposals thereupon.

The meeting attendees paid special attention to interaction within the EAEU Business Council.

The EEC Minister has told that the Commission develops an Action Plan for implementing the Strategy for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025. Some prospects for harmonizing educational standards in the EAEU are being discussed to implement its provisions relating to the labor migration development. This will have a positive impact on business activities as it will simplify the hiring of highly-skilled specialists from the Union countries.
