Working visit of Mikhail Myasnikovich to the Republic of Kazakhstan

Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the EEC Board, held a number of bilateral meetings during his working visit to Kazakhstan, including those with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Dariga Nazarbayeva, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meetings discussed issues of preparing Strategic Directions for Developing the Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025, improving the unified technical regulation framework within the EAEU as well as complying with the EEC Rules of Procedure.  Special priority was given to removing obstacles in the EAEU internal market.

The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Mikhail Myasnikovich on taking the office.

"We have no doubt that you, using your rich experience as Head of the Government, Head of the Parliament and President of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, will show all your knowledge and competence in order to ensure that the activities of this very important governing body in the Eurasian Economic Union are successful," - Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted.

Mikhail Myasnikovich thanked the President for the special trust shown in considering his candidacy for the position of the EEC’s Chairman, and told about his work priorities during his tenure.

It bears reminding that a bilateral meeting between Mikhail Myasnikovich and Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev is scheduled for tomorrow.​
