During a working visit to St.
Petersburg and Leningrad Region on February 18-19, Artak Kamalyan, Member of
the Board — Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian
Economic Commission, visited the production sites of Kominvest-AKMT JSC and
Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC.
The EEC Minister held meetings
with the management of enterprises, discussed the prospects for cooperation and
expansion of interaction with companies of the Eurasian Economic Union
countries in road construction and agricultural engineering at the Commission's
venue.
Kominvest-AKMT and St.
Petersburg Tractor Plant are enterprises that are actively developing their
production capacities and are ready for close cooperation with companies of
other Eurasian Economic Union States. Agricultural tractors, dispensers of solid
and liquid reagents, snow plows, patching machines and other types of products
manufactured by these plants could become a serious basis for deepening
cooperation within the Union. An example of such work is the joint project of
the Russian PTZ JSC and the Kazakhstani Kostanay Tractor Plant LLP.
According to the EEC, the
rational allocation of resources, use of potential benefits from the
development of industrial cooperation is beneficial for all the Union
countries. This will reduce budgetary and industrial enterprises’ costs for the
production of agricultural machinery necessary for the country’s
agro-industrial complex, as well as ensure the joint entry of the EAEU
enterprises into the markets of third countries.
“We see a steady development of cooperation in the
agricultural machinery industry and strive to deepen cooperation in other
industries, for example, road construction equipment. We hope that the Tomez
plant, which is part of the Kominvest-AKMT JSC group of enterprises, will also
become an active participant in one of the general production processes in the
Union,” Artak Kamalyan summed up.
As part of meetings with the
management of Kominvest-AKMT JSC and PTZ JSC, proposals were made that will be
considered at the Commission’s venue in order to further develop industrial
cooperation in these industries.
For reference
Kominvest-AKMT JSC has developed and produces at its Tomez plant a number of
innovative new products for the road maintenance industry, such as distributors
of solid and liquid reagents, rotary snow plows, patching machines with an
infrared heating element. Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC produces 8 models of
Kirovets agricultural tractors of the K-7M series, 17 types of road-building
and special machines made on the basis of Kirovets industrial tractors. The
enterprise has ten main workshops in its structure that provide the entire
production cycle.
