Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation was appointed in EEC

Nurlan Akmatov was appointed new Member of the Board (Minister) of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) on behalf of the Kyrgyz Republic. He will be in charge of customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union.
Nurlan Akmatov followed Mukai Kadyrkulov as Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Customs Cooperation of the EEC.
This new Member of the EEC Board is a personnel customs officer. Nurlan Akmatov joined the customs authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1995 and rose through the ranks from ordinary inspector to the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 2011 to 2018, he held the position of the Deputy Head of one of the largest enterprises in Kyrgyzstan – Gazpromneft Asia. In 2018-2019, he headed the Board of Manas International Airport, OJSC.
