EAEU and China signed Agreement on Customs Information Exchange

On June 6, an Agreement on the exchange of information on goods and vehicles involved in international transportation across the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was signed in St. Petersburg in the margins of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The International agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrishenko, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Vice  Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenish Razakov, First Deputy Head of the Government of the Russian Federation – Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PRC Wang Yi.
“We expect that the exchange of information between our customs services will simplify the procedures of international trade and contribute to the development of deeper economic relations between the EAEU and the People's Republic of China”, - Tigran Sargsyan stated during the signing.
The Agreement on the exchange of information between the customs services of the EAEU and China will expedite the customs clearance of goods imported into the customs territory of the Union and the PRC as well as increase the transit attractiveness of the countries participating in the Agreement.
