EEC notified Belarus of need to fulfill its obligations on Union’s internal retail market functioning

Following the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Board, it was decided to notify the Republic of Belarus of the need to observe the Eurasian Economic Union's law.

The EEC Board recognized the requirement on the mandatory assortment of Belarusian goods on the counters of the country's retail stores as a barrier in the Union's internal market. The Republic of Belarus was notified of the need to observe the EAEU law.

The Government of the Republic of Belarus was proposed to ensure that the existing infringements are eliminated and to inform the Commission on the measures taken within 30 calendar days from the decision's effective date.​
