The EEC Council agreed on another 28 items of the draft Strategy-2025

At a meeting held on 01 October, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission considered the progress in finalizing the draft Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025.

Earlier, the Heads of State of the Eurasian Economic Union approved the document for the most part and instructed the governments of Member States to finalize it.

According to the EEC Minister in charge of Integration and Macroeconomics Sergei Glazyev, consensus was reached on 28 items, which have caused disagreements between the parties. The remaining items will be submitted for consideration by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on October 09.

The strategic document will be approved at the level of the heads of Member States.

Strategic Directions include general (conceptual) provisions and 330 measures and mechanisms grouped into 11 system blocks, which disclose the provisions of the Declaration on Further Development of Integration Processes within the Eurasian Economic Union.

· completing the formation of common markets for goods, services, capital and labor;

· improving the efficiency of regulation of the common market of the EAEU;

· transfer to a qualitatively higher level of customs regulation and administration;

· ensuring guarantees of the quality and safety of goods;

· formation of the digital space of the EAEU;

· creation of mechanisms for targeted assistance to economic development;

· building a management system for joint cooperation projects, developing high-performance sectors;

· stimulation of scientific and technological progress;

· increasing the efficiency of the EAEU institutions;

· deployment of cooperation mechanisms in the field of education, health, tourism and sports;

· positioning the EAEU as one of the most significant development centers of the modern world. ​
