The session of the EEC Advisory Committee on Natural Monopolies applauded the results of 2015

On January 27, at the eighth session of the Advisory Committee on Natural Monopolies of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the EEC’s work in the field of natural monopolies in 2015 was recognized satisfactory. The Advisory Committee’s work plan for 2016 has been approved.

Members of the Committee heard the report of the Deputy General Director of the Institute of Natural Monopolies, Alexander Grigoryev, entitled "Energy Efficiency Policies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries. A. Grigoriev touched upon the conceptual issues of the legal regulation of energy efficiency in the Union, and spoke about the problems of implementing the policy papers on energy conservation and measures to increase energy efficiency.

During the discussion, the session participants supported the initiative of inviting members of the scientific community of the EAEU countries to a Committee session in order to cast light on current topics related to the regulation of natural monopolies.

It was noted that the information received on the basis of data prepared by the authorised authorities of the countries of EAEU in this sphere will be submitted to the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the first half of 2016.
