On March 25, 11:15-14:00 (Moscow time), the Eurasian Economic Commission
is holding the side-event entitled “Green or Grim Picture: Environmental
Responsibility as a Tool to Achieve SDGs 8 and 17” on the margins of the VIII UN
ESCAP Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development.
The EEC side-event aims at sharing experience and the best practices in
the field of transferring towards “green” economy. The participants are
supposed to discuss the implications of the pandemic from the perspective of
redirecting the global development paradigm in favour of “green” growth; the
essence of the “green” economy principles for state and businesses; the
prospects of international cooperation in achieving the UN SDG 8 provided the
“new normality”.
The
discussion is to be attended by the representatives of the international
organizations, integration associations, national and supranational regulatory
bodies, businesses, development institutions and academia.
The
online streaming of the event will be accessible in English on the EEC YouTube
channel. The attenders will be able to address the speakers via chat (the
web-link is to be communicated).
