Таможенно-тарифное регулирование
По оперативным данным объем внешней торговли товарами государств – членов Таможенного союза за январь-июнь 2012 г. составил 459,6 млрд. долларов США, в том числе экспорт – 302,9 млрд. долларов США, импорт – 156,7 млрд. долларов США. Стоимостной объем экспорта по сравнению с январем-июнем 2011 г. в текущих ценах увеличился на 9,7%, или на 26,9 млрд. долларов США, импорта – на 4,8%, или на 7,2 млрд. долларов США.

Cooperation between the EEC and the EDB in the
industrial sector was discussed at a meeting at the EEC’s headquarters by Artak
Kamalyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture
of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Nikolay Podguzov, Chairman of the
Board of the Eurasian Development Bank. In particular, they have considered
projects in the field of import substitution, financing the Eurasian interstate
programs and applying measures to support manufacturing facilities in the
Eurasian Economic Union.

"Accelerating negotiation processes with third
countries was one of the priority tasks of the Trade Unit of the Eurasian
Economic Commission in 2020. Efforts were taken on several country tracks,
including with Mongolia which is traditionally a close partner of the
EAEU," Andrey Slepnev,
Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Trade of the Eurasian Economic
Commission, noted at the 28th meeting of the Business Dialogue with
representatives of the business community of the Eurasian Economic Union
countries.

Technical Regulation
Ensuring quality and safety guarantees for products
entering the Eurasian Economic Union market is one of the most important
guidelines in the Strategic Directions Developing the Eurasian Economic
Integration until 2025 approved by the Heads of the EAEU Member States on
December 11, 2020. A discrete role in their implementation is given to the
activities undertaken by the Council of Heads of public
(national) standardization bodies of the EAEU States – the
Union’s auxiliary body in the sphere of standardization, Viktor Nazarenko,
Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the
Eurasian Economic Commission, noted at the sixth Council’s meeting held via
videoconferencing.

Natalia Zhukova, Director of the Department for
Sanitary, Phytosanitary and Veterinary Measures of the Eurasian Economic Commission,
informed about the Members States’ best practices in protecting consumer rights
during the COVID-19 pandemic at a meeting of the Advisory Council on the CIS
Consumer Rights Protection held on December 17 via videoconferencing.
