About the Department
Energy Department
of the Eurasian Economic Commission (hereinafter, the Department, the
Commission) is the structural subdivision of the Commission ensuring its
activities in the energy sector.
The Regulation on Energy Department of the Eurasian
Economic Commission was approved by Order No. 196 of the Chairman of the
Commission's Board dated June 22, 2018.
The main objectives of the Department are:
1) ensuring the exercise of the Commission's functions
in the energy sector;
2) assistance to the Member States:
in implementing the coordinated energy policy and
forming common markets of energy resources of the Eurasian Economic Union
(hereinafter, the Union);
in creating conditions for the formation, functioning,
and development of the Union's common markets of energy resources;
3) preparation of
proposals on forming the Union's common markets of energy resources.
The Department has three sections:
- Section of Electric Power and Nuclear Policy;
- Section of Oil and Gas Policy;
- Section of Development of Trade in Energy
Resources.
The sections ensure the
solution of the tasks and the performance of the functions of the Department.
