Temirbek Asanbekov

He was born on June 18, 1966 in the village of Ananyevo, Issyk-Kul Region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In 1993, he graduated from the K. A. Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy, specialty "Agricultural Scientist".

From 1984 to 1986, he served with the Soviet Army as part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan in the Herat province; he was Deputy Platoon Commander of a motorized infantry battalion. He left military service at the rank of Senior Sergeant. During his service, he was awarded the medal "For Courage" and the Certificate of Merit "For Fulfilling International Duty" by Mikhail Gorbachev, President of the USSR.

From 1993 to 1994, he was Deputy Director General of the "Kainar" Agricultural Association, Issyk-Kul Region, Ak-Sui District.

From 1994 to 1995, he ran his own business in Kyrgyzstan.

From 1996 to 1998, he served as Senior Manager at the American Insurance Company "AIG" ( Moscow).

From 1998 to 2002, he held the position of Director General at ATM-AGRO, LLC ( Moscow).

From 2002 to 2005, he was Director General of "Arbat Management" Managing Company, LLC ( Moscow).

From 2005 to 2007, he supervised the "Business Center Preobrazhensky" project ( Moscow).

From 2007 to 2010, he was head of Aspol-Center.

In 2010, he established and managed the Non-Profit Partnership "Center of Assistance to Protect and Support the Kirghiz People" ( Moscow).

From 2010 to 2021, he chaired the Meken Yntymagi party.

He holds membership in the Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists Association (Russia) and sits on the Coordinating Council of the Economic Club

He is married and has four children.

Since June 30, 2021, by the Decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, he was appointed Member of the Board — Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
