Gegham Vardanyan

He was born on December 22, 1982 in the city of Yerevan, Armenia.

He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Informatics of the Russian-Armenian (Slavic) University.

The EEC Minister has an experience of working in government bodies. Recently Gegham Vardanyan served as Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, and before that, he held the position of Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Armenia.

He has an extensive experience of working for major international companies. For more than ten years, Gegham Vardanyan held various leadership positions in National Instruments. It is one of the world's leaders in hardware and software development for automated testing and simulation systems. Gegham Vardanyan was also Business Development Manager at the leading Armenian company YEA Engineering, which provides products and services for turnkey engineering solutions in various sectors.

The appointment of a representative of the Republic of Armenia was decided by the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union countries on December 20, 2019 at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council's meeting in St. Petersburg.
